GROUND iNK was appointed as Lead Landscape Architect for the design and documentation for this class leading residential development within Sutherland Council’s Caringbah Medical Precinct. The strategy for the precinct is to develop a cluster of new medical facilities in close proximity to Sutherland Hospital and Kareena Private Hospitals. Set within a Greenweb Restoration area, the intention for the development is to create a new area of landscaping within substantial landscaped building setbacks featuring large native trees and planting intended to soften the visual impact of the new developments and to help to protect the residential character.

Collaborating with DKO Architects, the GROUND iNK team developed a vibrant and contemporary landscape treatment for this high density residential project on Sydney’s southern suburbs. The design celebrates the surrounding natural setting of established native trees and compliments this native tree context by introducing landmark deciduous trees to the internal courtyards of the site split over two levels.
